A car struck the back of a Missouri metro bus in Overland today and quickly burst into flames, according to the Overland Police Chief. The crash occured just before 4:00 p.m. at Page and Lotsie. A seemingly innocent ATV ride turned deadly Friday afternoon. Students were not in school due to a previously scheduled in-service day. While off school, a group of Kansas students decided to go ATV riding on private property in Linn County, Kansas, which is near the Missouri state line. A man is in serious condition after a semi tractor trailer slid into his lane on Missouri 38, just west of Marshfield. His passenger was moderately injured in this MIssouri automobile accident. Both Fordland men were immediately taken to Cox South Hospital for their injuries. According to the highway patrol, the semi crossed the center line which led the driver to swerve to avoid the truck. An automobile crash on Route BB in Greene County, Missouri on October 9, 2010 resulted in the deaths of two women. A 17 year-old and her 39 year-old mother were killed when the drunk driver rounded a curve and struck their vehicle. Two small children and an infant from Mount Vernon, Illinois were injured in a car accident on Highway 71 just south of Nevada, Missouri. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the children were taken to Nevada Regional Medical Center for treatment of their moderate injuries.
