An automobile crash on Route BB in Greene County, Missouri on October 9, 2010 resulted in the deaths of two women. A 17 year-old and her 39 year-old mother were killed when the drunk driver rounded a curve and struck their vehicle. An accident reconstruction was performed which revealed that three hours after the accident, the drunk driver’s blood alcohol level was .064 percent. The Missouri State Highway Patrol estimated that the driver’s blood alcohol level would have been .109 percent at the time of the accident. The Rogersville man was charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter and also a third count of manslaughter – involuntary manslaughter involving intoxication where two or more people are killed.
The legal blood alcohol limit in Missouri is .08 percent. Many counties are using the policy “you drink, you drive, you lose” to inform motorists that drunk driving in Missouri is not tolerated. I aggressively represent those injured by drunk drivers. Driving while intoxicated is an extremely dangerous and careless act that can result in devastating injuries that are completely preventable.
If you or a loved one have been injured by a drunk driver, you need legal representation. To make sure that you are not victimized twice, be sure to hire a Missouri automobile accident attorney right away.
