On September 13, 2010, two people were injured following an automobile accident that happened on Highway 13 near Reeds Spring.

According to the traffic crash report, Marcus Aschwege, 19, was driving a 2006 Mercury and Garry Mayberry, 50, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet at the time of the accident. Aschwege failed to yield when making a turn and pulled directly into Mayberry’s path. Mayberry was unable get out of the way which caused the two vehicles to collide head-on. Mayberry and his passenger were taken by ambulance for treatment at Skaggs Hospital.
