Holiday Weekend Accident Injures Five

On July 7, 2010, in Auto Accident, by K. Lindsay Rakers

On July 5, 2010, three vehicles were involved in a serious Missouri automobile accident in St. Genevieve County. Two of the vehicles were traveling west on Route F at the same time as a third vehicle was headed east. The accident occured Sunday afternoon. Michael Kerrigan, driving a Cavalier, crossed the center line as he was headed west on Route F causing him to strike a pickup truck almost head on. That accident caused severe damage but the danger didn’t end there. The pickup then continued on Route F where it, too, crossed the center line and struck another truck head-on.

This Missouri automobile accident seriously injured those riding in the third vehicle. The driver of the Cavalier and the pickup truck were also injured. At this time, the cause of the Missouri traffic crash has not been reported.
As St. Louis Missouri accident attorneys, we deal with head on collisions frequently. The driver of the Cavalier could have fallen asleep, been distracted, or even suffered from a medical condition that affected his ability to safely drive his vehicle. We cannot assume anything until the final report is released.

Missouri automobile drivers have a duty to keep a proper lookout and drive safely on the roadways. For whatever reason, this young gentleman was unable to do that and caused serious injuries to several people.
