KMOV has reported that the car that plunged into River Des Peres last week contained a 7 month-old infant boy. His father, 24 years old, drove the car into the river – the circumstances of the crash are still unknown. The driver is still in critical condition. The infant boy was found strapped in his carseat in the water but efforts to revive the boy were unsuccessful.

We don’t yet know if there was something on the roadway that caused the driver to direct the vehicle into the water.
